Headhunting and Executive Search

We find your executives and specialists!

What is the difference between headhunting and executive search?
Basically, both are dedicated and proactive search methods for recruiting employees. Executive search is aimed at the 1st and 2nd management level as well as specialists. However, there are also reasons to extend this method to other qualifications, e.g. to specifically address candidates from competitors. Then we speak colloquially of headhunting.

Executive Search

In headhunting, the identification and approach of qualified candidates is determined by very close coordination with the client. Together, we create long and short lists with a special industry focus. The respective candidates are approached via business platforms such as LinkedIn or Xing, where the candidates’ willingness to change can already be identified in advance.

Executive search, also called direct search, is usually a search method for executives at the top two management levels or for candidates with a very high degree of specialization.

Filling a position requires in-depth knowledge of the industry, a high level of professionalism and a confidential approach, all of which are key aspects of the executive search.
