PDFPrintfriendly

This function allows you to save individual content as a PDF and print it out conveniently. PDFs are generated on the provider’s servers. If the generated file is sent via e-mail, then this data is transmitted. To generate a PDF, you will be automatically redirected to the provider’s site.
The content will only be processed to create the PDF version and will only be saved for a temporary period of time. Once you have saved or sent the PDF, it will be deleted.
Possibly the preview is stored in the temporary storage for a while before the file is finally deleted. For more information, see the plugin page.

BorlabsCache

In order for the page to load quickly, we use caching. This function is accomplished, for example, via a Content Delivery Network, or CDN for short.

When you post a comment in our magazine, the IP address is stored unabbreviated. This is important so that we can track legal violations or SPAM attacks. In addition, the system stores the e-mail address and the selected user name and the comment text as such is stored.

Storage period of the comments

The comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on the website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer or mobile device, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. This website uses Google Adsense, a web advertising service provided by Google Inc, USA (“Google”). Google Adsense uses so-called “cookies” (text files), which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. Google Adsense also uses so-called “web beacons” (small invisible graphics) to collect information. Through the use of the web beacon, simple actions such as visitor traffic to the website can be recorded and collected. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon about your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website in relation to the advertisements, compiling reports on website activity and advertisements for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Use of “Google Remarketing” and “Similar Target Groups” Function of Google Inc.

This website uses the remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). This allows you to be targeted with advertising by displaying personalized and interest-based ads when you visit other websites in the so-called “Google Display Network”. “Google Remarketing” or the “Similar Target Groups” function uses so-called “cookies” for this purpose, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. These text files are used to record your visits as well as anonymized data on the use of the website. Personal data is not stored in the process. If you visit another website in the so-called “Google Display Network”, you may be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account product and information areas previously accessed on our website.

You can prevent the “Google Remarketing” or the “Similar target groups” function by preventing the storage of cookies through a corresponding setting in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative deactivation page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the further information on opting out mentioned there. Google’s privacy policy on remarketing with further information can be found here: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/

Use of the Facebook Pixel

We use a “Facebook pixel” of the social network Facebook Inc (“Facebook”). The Facebook pixel allows us to track the behavior of users after they click on a Facebook ad. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can understand how our marketing measures are received on Facebook and, if necessary, take optimization measures.

If you would like to disable cookie storage for Facebook, you can deny storage in the website’s cookie settings via Borlab’s opt-in. (Refuse to save and process).

The collected data remains anonymous and does not offer any conclusions about the identity of the users. Facebook stores and processes the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Policy (https://www.facebook.com/policy.php).

At talents for it, you have the option to refuse cookies (Refuse to save and process). In most web browsers, however, they are stored automatically. However, you can also object to the storage of cookies via the respective browser settings. It is further possible to also delete the history of your website visits under the “Delete browsing history” option. If cookies are rejected, however, it may no longer be possible to use some of the website’s functions. When cookies are deleted, all settings controlled by these cookies, including advertising settings, are erased and may not be recoverable.

Consent

By using our websites, you consent to the described storage and use of your data. By entering your personal data, you declare your consent to the described processing of the data and its use.
